Our Story

Built by a horse family, for horse people.

Eq-Tek didn't start in an office. It started in a barn aisle, squinting at a smudged whiteboard, trying to remember which horse got the soaked cubes.

How it started
There had to be a better way.

After years of barn management and farm-sitting all over — and living the specific headaches of complicated feeding routines firsthand — Lucy and Tyler knew there had to be a better way.

Every barn ran on the same fragile setup: sticky notes, a smudged whiteboard, and one person who really knew how it all worked. So they started building the tool they wished they'd had.

Who we are
Horses aren't the side project. They're the whole life.

Between the two of them, Lucy and Tyler have managed boarding barns, covered farm-sits, and fed a lot of very particular horses — which is exactly why they understand this problem from the inside.

Why we built Eq-Tek
Barn knowledge shouldn't live on a whiteboard.

"A better way" meant something specific: feeding instructions a new staff member could follow at a glance, care notes that don't get wiped off a board, and water levels you can check without driving the pasture. And it had to work in a metal barn with no WiFi and no cell signal — because that's where the work happens.

Eq-Tek is that tool. Free for up to five animals, hardware priced for a one-horse backyard setup, and built so the hard parts still work offline.

It's the barn we'd want our own horses in.
